My first South American Expedition.

Many ask; what took you there? Have you heard about the G20 YEA? Probably not. Because, even i didn’t know much about it, until i actually landed up for one.

For starters, the G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance (G20 YEA) is a collective of organizations across the G20 countries that work to promote and advance entrepreneurship. Alliance members represent more than 500,000 young entrepreneurs and firstly discuss, debate and finally suggest the key pointers for the betterment of the entrepreneurial ecosystem around the globe.

I was one of the privileged few entrepreneurs who got shortlisted to be part of the Indian delegation of 13 entrepreneurs. And yes, that was just the beginning. You want to know more about what happened at the Alliance in BA, read on. Or you just want to know more about the G20 YEA in general, it’s all here on www.g20yea.com.

Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people.

Breathe the world.

Yes, that’s what happens when you are at the G20 YEA Summit. As mentioned, this was my first time at the G20 and when I landed in Buenos Aires, i seriously didn’t know what to expect. But when you land up at the summit location, is when you realise the magnitude of what you part of. 400-500 of the brightest minds of all of the G20 countries. What energy. What buzz. To say the least.

The first generation of the digital revolution brought us the Internet of Information. The second generation, powered by blockhain, is bringing us the Internet of Value.

The Future of Business.

The morning started off to a very average inaugural session, which actually made you wonder as to why you were there. But the fun starts to begin from the next session. It started with John Cwaik giving you insights into what future is like…analytics, AI, VR, Blockchain and yeah I, Robot is not that far away guys. Gear up! And it also got me contemplating on whether to become a recreational therapist as that is the job which will not lose relevance for quite a while.

I doubt whether anybody will challenge that we are living in the most prosperous time in human history. Education levels are at all time high and technology has surely played a big part in the same. Technology evolution is happening at such a rapid pace and human beings are failing to catch up, which is scary. The threat and outcome from the above is that probability robots are going to take over many a job in the next 20 years. And that was the reason why i was referring to the recreational therapist. Dentists, Athletic trainers, Clergy and Chemical engineers and to a certain extent Editors, Firefighers and Actors are in the safe zone. So my choices are Therapist or Athletic trainer or may be, i should consider acting. My better half keeps telling me that i am a great actor.

Simply put, if you are a businessman or ceo of a company, the essential six technologies which you should gear up to have are Robotics & AI, 3D Printing, Blockchain & Crypto, Big Data, VR & AR and IoT.

Kids born today wont drive in the future.

Open your mind.

Many a time, a lot of people have told us that the best way to get better to work with people who are better than you. Hire people who are smarter than you. And yes, G20 had a lot of them. A whole 500 of them. Smart. Young. Entrepreneurial. Energetic. Fearless. Enthusiastic. Doing great things around the globe. In essence, it was great to meet a whole lot of them, share and listen to great ideas and interesting stories.

And the biggest takeaway other than getting connected to the young minds across the world was to stop competing and start collaborating. It is not a new thing for me because collaboration is already a key component to how we conduct ourselves. But, trust me, Collaboration is going to be the key in today’s age of sharing economy. So open you mind to collaborations. Collaborate with people who are better than you.

Ideas surely become bigger, when it is shared.

The saddest aspect of life right now is that science gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom.
